TURNING POINT: The game was tied at 56. LSU then scored 15 of the next 17 points, led by Antonio Blakeney, who had a game-high 24 points. That run gave the visiting Tigers a 71-58 lead and Missouri was never closer than nine the rest of the way.

IT WAS OVER WHEN: I don't know. Pick a point during that run. It was over then. If you want the truth, it may have been over sooner. Missouri had two turnovers and LSU had four points in the first 28 seconds of the second half. Mizzou still led by a point, but the momentum had swung and it never really swung back.

CAUSE FOR OPTIMISM: There are only 18 games left. Really, beyond that? I mean Missouri put together a nice 20 minutes, looking good in the first half. But LSU isn't exactly a tournament lock. This was probably Missouri's best chance at an SEC win. They lost by 11.

CAUSE FOR CONCERN: A very thin team got thinner. Reed Nikko looked to reinjure his ankle in the first half, though he did return. Mitchell Smith suffered what looked to be a serious injury right before halftime. Kim Anderson is running out of bodies.

STOCK UP: Guys Missouri got to take official visits. Blakeney was phenomenal. He visited the same weekend as Thomas Bryant who should be an early entry NBA player after his second season at Indiana. Isaiah Briscoe had a triple-double for Kentucky last week. They were all on campus the same weekend. That seems like a long time ago.

STOCK DOWN: Cullen VanLeer. He did not play in the first half. He played a lone minute in the second half. He has gone from second in the SEC in minutes to unable to see the floor. This would be a sign that Anderson is searching desperately for answers and is running out of places to look.

UP NEXT: Missouri plays at Georgia on Saturday at noon on the SEC Network. The Bulldogs are 9-5 overall and 1-1 in the SEC after a 67-64 loss to South Carolina Wednesday night.
