Another day brings more good news for Missouri basketball. The school announced North Carolina point guard Blake Harris has signed financial aid papers on Thursday morning. Harris, the No. 131 prospect in the recently finalized Rivals150, joins Michael Porter Jr. and C.J. Roberts as signed members of Cuonzo Martin's first class.

Harris is the top three-star recruit in the country according to Rivals.com. He averaged 25 points and 9.9 assists per game for Word of God Christian Academy as a senior this season.

"We’re excited to welcome Blake Harris to the Mizzou Basketball Family,” Martin said in a statement from the school. “His parents, Kellie and Bernardo Harris, did a great job raising a young man who understands the values of life, not just basketball. Blake’s attributes on the basketball court, working hard and never quitting, will be what make him an overall outstanding representative of our program.

“Throughout the recruiting process, Blake had his pick of schools he would likely thrive at as a student-athlete, but he chose the University of Missouri because of that unique feeling he discovered on our campus. There is a level of excitement building here in Columbia that will be fun for everyone to be a part of, especially Blake, who will be a great member of our team.”

Like Porter, Harris had previously signed a Letter of Intent with Washington, so he signed a Financial Aid agreement with Mizzou on Thursday. That binds the school to him, but does not bind Harris to Mizzou. However, Harris has said he has cancelled the rest of his recruiting visits.

In addition to the three members of the class, Martin is still actively recruiting Kevin Knox, Jeremiah Tilmon and Mark Smith among others. Knox is set to make a decision near the first of May. Tilmon will host Missouri and Kansas on home visits this Friday and Smith still has a long list of suitors.

The Tigers currently have two available scholarships. The late signing period runs through May 15th.
