Three months after landing a four-star potential quarterback of the future, Missouri hauled in a four-star target for him. On April 4, Pennsylvania quarterback Matt Zollers picked the Tigers. Thursday afternoon, Cocoa (FL) wideout Jayvan Boggs added his name to the 2025 commitment list.

“Coach Drinkwitz is really building something at Missouri being a top team in the SEC," said during his live decision with Rivals.com. "I have a great relationship with coach Drink, Coach Peeler and really the whole staff. I just felt like it was a great fit."

Boggs picked Mizzou over UCF in the end. He also had offers from USC, Florida, Georgia, Notre Dame among more than two dozen schools. He had scheduled official visits to Georgia and USC in June, but canceled those trips. Boggs had previously been committed to Ohio State before opening things up in March..

Boggs caught 93 passes for 1500 yards and 24 touchdowns as a junior in leading his team to a Florida state championship. That season helped him debut among the nation's elite prospects at No. 250 in December. In the seven months since, he's risen nearly 200 spots and currently checks in as the No. 67 overall prospect in the country.

After decommitting from Ohio State, Boggs took unofficial visits to Texas, Florida, Missouri, UCF and Georgia. He then scheduled return officials to Mizzou, Florida, Georgia and UCF plus one to USC. But the only two trips he ended up making were to UCF and Mizzou, canceling the three others before making it to campus.

Along with the Missouri coaching staff, Zollers had been recruiting Boggs heavily both privately and publicly. The effort paid off as the four-star QB now has a premier target joining him in the Tigers' class.

"I can be moved all around the field as a receiver," he said. "Just a playmaker at the end of the day."

Boggs is Mizzou's 13th commitment and its sixth four-star. He joins Shaun Terry in Mizzou's recruiting class at wide receiver. The Tigers are still awaiting a decision from IMG Academy four-star Donovan Olugbode. Olugbode will announce his commitment on Friday at 3 p.m. Central. His finalists are Missouri, Washington, Oregon, USC and Florida.

Asked for his message to Mizzou fans, Boggs said: "I’m coming to work, earn my place and we’re gonna take over the SEC."

PowerMizzou.com will have more on Boggs' commitment and what it means for the class coming soon.
