Pine Bluff, Arkansas might not be the first place Missouri fans would think of the Tigers building a recruiting pipeline. But Arkansas native Eli Drinkwitz locked up two players from the city on Tuesday morning, bringing his two-year Pine Bluff haul to three.
Four-star wide receiver Courtney Crutchfield picked the Tigers over Arkansas, Auburn and LSU in a ceremony on Tuesday morning. Just before that, teammate Austyn Dendy held a signing ceremony, confirming his late September pledge to Mizzou.
"That’s a big factor, man," Crutchfield said of the chance to keep playing with Dendy. "It’s a trail."
"He told me I was like, 'Man come on, let’s do it. Let’s go get it done,'" Dendy said. "It’s gonna be great."
The pair will reunite with Tiger tight end Jordon Harris, who graduated from Pine Bluff High last year and played in 11 games as a true freshman.
