Sampson picks the Tigers

The Missouri Tigers landed one of their top prospects left on their board this morning in Caleb Sampson. Sampson made the announcement moments ago at Northlake Christian High School in Covington, LA.

"I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at the University of Missouri," Sampson told the crowd.

Sampson, a two-star recruit, plays with a mean streak and caught the Missouri coaches eyes many months ago. He picked Mizzou over Kansas State and Colorado State.

Sampson joins Rashad Brandon, Kobie Whiteside, and Walter Palmore at DT, along with Chris Turner and Nate Anderson along the defensive line. The Tigers knew that their position of need would be the defensive line, and they knew they would have to fill numerous holes due to attrition or graduation.

Sampson will come in immediately and fight for playing time, along with the rest of the new signees.
