QUARTERBACK: Drew Lock's first throw was an F. After that, tough to find much fault with what he did on this day. Sure, the competition isn't great, but Lock has put together three pretty strong games in a row now. That's as much a reason for optimism as anything. FINAL GRADE: A-
RUNNING BACKS: Larry Rountree III looks like a guy who can get things done, especially on a 53-yard run where he seemed to actually be seeking out Idaho players to run over. The run game as a whole was decent. Outside of that run, the Tigers got 130 yards on 29 carries. It didn't need to be any better than that. FINAL GRADE: B-
WIDE RECEIVERS: J'Mon Moore looked like he was going to set a single game record for receptions for a while, and probably would have if he'd played the whole game. Emanuel Hall continues to look virtually uncoverable on deep balls. Those two combined to catch 14 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns. That'll work. FINAL GRADE: A
TIGHT ENDS: Albert Okwuegbunam's first three catches went for touchdowns, the first Tiger tight end to catch three in a game since Chase Coffman in 2007. Kendall Blanton added a 62-yarder that nearly put six more on the board. These guys are weapons Missouri needs to continue to lean on. FINAL GRADE: A
OFFENSIVE LINE: Lock was sacked once. He generally had plenty of time. There weren't gaping holes for the running game. This wasn't exactly a dominant performance, but it was plenty good enough. FINAL GRADE: B
DEFENSIVE LINE: This was the best the line has looked. Some of it might have been about the competition, but the third down package that moved Chris Turner inside seemed to create some good situations for Missouri. Terry Beckner Jr. had his best game and Marcell Frazier made some plays. Tre Williams looks like a guy that can help. FINAL GRADE: B+
LINEBACKERS: The Tigers didn't have a lot of guys running wide open all over the middle of the field and didn't give up many big runs at all. There were no gaudy tackle numbers, but there weren't nearly as many noticeable issues either. FINAL GRADE: B
SECONDARY: It's easy to dismiss this game as being against Idaho, but the Tigers have struggled with everyone this season. Missouri didn't have nearly as many obvious blown assignments. The tackling can still improve, but it was better. Cam Hilton looks to have brought something to the secondary and Kaleb Prewett makes more sense as a safety than he did at the hybrid linebacker position. FINAL GRADE: B
SPECIAL TEAMS: Missouri returned a punt for a touchdown and nearly had another one. Despite playing without the starting kicker, the Tigers made a field goal and would have made every extra point if not for a penalty that backed them up and resulted in a miss. The best news? We barely saw Corey Fatony. FINAL GRADE: A
COACHING: Missouri started as badly as it could have started and bounced right back. The offense hit all the right buttons in the passing game and the defense looked improved based on a lot of new looks and packages. The only quibble is leaving the starting quarterback in the game for so long, needlessly risking an injury that could torpedo the remaining hopes for the season. FINAL GRADE: A-
