Three to watch: Offense

Missouri and West Virginia will kick off at 11 a.m. Central time Saturday morning in Morgantown. Throughout the week, PowerMizzou.com will analyze the matchup. Today, we look at three key individual matchups when Missouri is on offense.

Drew Lock vs West Virginia secondary

Yes, admittedly, it's too easy. Of course the QB versus the secondary is a big matchup. But let's be honest: Missouri's offense was dreadful last year. And while it was far from solely being Lock's fault, he played a big part in it. The Mountaineers are replacing nine starters on defense and aren't necessarily set at many positions, including cornerback.

From WVSports.com: "the cornerbacks and the SPUR safety position as Gibson will work to keep players fresh by using a mixture of options. Talking with different position coaches there could be a different set of cornerbacks used from series to series."

What does that mean for Lock and the Missouri passing game? It needs to mean significantly better production than most of last year because otherwise this is almost certainly a loss.
