Elijah Gardiner came to Columbia as an "unofficial" Tiger commitment. There were plenty of indications that the 6-foot-5 receiver from Texas was already part of Missouri's 2017 class, but Gardiner had never actually said that himself. He did so on Sunday night, bringing Missouri's class to 18 known verbal commitments.

Yasir Durant is a mammoth 6-foot-7, 345-pound offensive lineman. He signed with San Diego State out of high school in Philadelphia in 2016, but due to a late qualification, the Aztecs ran out of room. He ended up at Arizona Western CC this year, but is eligible to immediately return to Division One as a qualifier out of high school. Durant made the trip still committed to SDSU, but could change that commitment. He is expected to sign at either Mizzou or San Diego State this week during the mid-year junior college signing period. News of his destination could come at any time.

Adam Sparks is a Vanderbilt commitment at cornerback. He has also visited Wake Forest. Sparks has not done any interviews since his visit, so it is unknown where things stand with his commitment to the Commodores or potential flip to Missouri. We will continue to try to touch base with him for an update after the trip.

Zion Debose is a versatile defender whose recruitment has really picked up after a strong senior season. He has visits scheduled in January to Rutgers and Pitt, but told us on Sunday night that he would talk to his family and evaluate his future plans. We talked to him about his visit to Columbia on Sunday evening.

Caleb Sampson is one of Missouri's priorities at defensive tackle as far as high school prospects go. He is currently a Tulane commitment and has an official visit scheduled with the Green Wave next month. We have not yet been able to talk to him since his trip to Columbia.

                                      OTHER NEWS OFF CAMPUS

We were also tracking a number of other prospects who were not on Missouri's campus this weekend. Here is a quick rundown of other players on Missouri's board from the past few days:

Isaiah Miller visited Tennessee. It is expected a final decision will come soon from the current Oregon State commitment.

Jeff Thomas made an official visit to Illinois, but teammate and current Mizzou commit Reyondous Estes was unable to make the trip due to a previous commitment.

Jaylen Twyman, who is scheduled to visit Missouri in January, was on campus at Pitt this weekend.

Jordan Ulmer, who visited Mizzou last weekend, took a trip to Minnesota this weekend.

Anthony Davis, a Florida running back who tripped to Missouri back in September, took a visit to Pitt. At this time, Davis seems like a long shot for the Tigers.

Eno Benjamin, who visited Missouri during the season, was on an official visit to Texas this weekend. It is expected Benjamin will end up a Longhorn.

Michael Clemons, a junior college defensive end who had Mizzou in his top five, committed to Texas A&M.

Noah Daniels had listed Missouri in his top five as well, but committed to TCU yesterday.
