Missouri's big week on the recruiting trail continued on Wednesday morning and Texas was once again the center of the action. Coppell offensive lineman Mike Ruth has committed to the Tigers.

The 6-foot-7, 310-pound Ruth chose the Tigers over Miami, Arizona State, Texas Tech, Kansas State and others.

He is the Tigers' seventh commitment in the last six days and becomes the 12th known commitment in the Class of 2018, following Alabama linebacker La'Dedric Jackson who committed earlier on Wednesday. Ruth is the first offensive lineman in the class and the sixth commitment from the Lone Star State. It is the most Texas commitments the Tigers have had since 2012 when they were still in the Big 12.

Scouting report from Rivals.com Texas analyst Nick Kreuger: "I had been hearing about Mike Ruth a lot during this spring, and with good reason it seemed, as he picked up a few nice offers during that time. I think when you look at the positives, you start with the obvious; that is that he has a pretty good frame to work with. He doesn't have a lot of reshaping that has to be done and stands around 6-and-a-half-feet, he just needs to continue building some strength in that upper-body. When you look at his film, you see a hungry and capable run blocker that latches on and keeps the wheels turning. As as pass-blocker, one-on-one he can suffer at times from not getting far enough back in his drop, and does a better job of running guys inside than getting stretched wide. I think he's a strong pickup because the upside is there, and he should get in plenty of work with his pass-blocking this year in an offense with a good quarterback"
