Last week, PowerMizzou.com took a look at every position on the Missouri offense. This week, we turn our attention to defense. We'll review what happened in 2016 and look forward to 2017 both in terms of the current roster and the upcoming recruiting class. Today, it's the cornerbacks.

Season Review: Perhaps no position was quite so up and down as cornerback for the 2016 Tigers. John Gibson started the season out rough with some costly pass interference calls, but really came on mid-season. Aarion Penton was one of the top corners around at the start of the year, fell off in the middle and finished strong with a pick six and a huge end zone interception against Arkansas.

Logan Cheadle was the third cornerback Missouri used when he was healthy, which took a few games. Prior to Cheadle getting in the action, true freshmen Christian Holmes and DeMarkus Acy saw some time.

Anthony Hines and Finis Stribling IV didn't really see meaningful action this season.
