Missouri's recruiting momentum continued on Saturday as they landed their second commitment of the week, the latest coming from Braden River (Fla.) cornerback Tyrone Collins.

The 3-star prospect announced his verbal pledge on Twitter on the heels of weekend visit to Columbia. Collins has been a long time target for the Tigers, receiving his offer back in August of 2016. He has been on campus since Thursday, but said he did not take the trip with intentions of committing.

"I didn't come here to commit," he said. "I just wanted to get a look at the place and see how the coaches are and get a feeling and see how Mizzou is."

But over the course of the last 48 hours, the Tiger coaching staff changed his mind.

"The coaches," Collins said when asked why he pulled the trigger. "They treated me right on the unofficial visit, treated me like a son and I just love the campus and the facilities and I saw some players around and I loved it a lot."

The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder chose the Tigers over the likes of Ole Miss, Michigan, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Kentucky, and others. But he no longer has any plans to listen to any of them.

"I always thought when I commit I'll never decommit," the three-star cornerback said. "I'm 100 percent committed to Mizzou."

Collins becomes the fourth commitment for Mizzou in the 2018 class, joining Timberview (Tex.) wide receiver Jalen Knox, Sidney Lanier (Ala.) quarterback James Foster, and Jones County J.C. (Miss.) wide receiver Harry Ballard.

"I'm just ready to play," Collins said. "I'm one step closer to my dream to go to the NFL and I'm going to do my best to get to my dream and show the fans I'm ready to take Mizzou to a national championship."

Collins is still on campus in Columbia. He will head back home Sunday afternoon. His teammate, 2019 running back Knowledge McDaniel, was on the trip with him and received a Mizzou offer on Thursday. The duo plays at Braden River High School for Curt Bradley, the son of former Mizzou football and baseball great Phil Bradley.
